The Fall of the AG Blogging WordPress Community? // My Thoughts

Hello! It’s Emma! ❤️

Today, I’m doing a post about something I’m nervous to actually share, but it’s my thoughts about the “fall” of the WordPress AG blogging community.

Whenever I first joined the AG blogging community in 2017, there were tons of AG bloggers and it was easier to make friends. However, today, I barely see any AG posts anymore (and in my reader) and no one hardly comments either.

Even bloggers such as myself are apart of this. For me, it’s been a lack of time and creativity. If you didn’t know, I’m in high school and in many honors and AP classes and that’s enough as is, but I also have other personal struggles and priorities as well.

And as for the lack of creativity, I’m not sure. Ideas don’t pop into my head as much/frequently as they used to.

I’m hoping to post more content that I’m proud of and that I enjoy, so I’m sorry if posts come slower than they used to.

On the other hand, I’m curious to see your guys’ thoughts on this and if you can relate.

Have a good day and I love you! ❤

p.s. You know you love the cute Blue Pearl in the featured image… ❤

p.p.s. I promise I will follow up on more about “the new girl” soon!

I’ve been noticing the same thing, it’s REALLY sad 😢 I’m hoping more AG bloggers will come along but I’m sure if they will. i miss everyone who left the community so much, but I’m so glad that there are still some here 🙂

I totally agree with you, and I’ve noticed too. I’ve been hoping to re-start an AG blog, but need to find more time. 😀 ❤

i definitely agree with you! the community was so huge and friendly a few years ago, and now it seems like all those bloggers grew up and left. i also feel like doll diaries closing was the beginning of the end, you know?

  5. I agree and I also have gotten in a rut so to speak on my posts and I like you have other priorities in day to day that can interfere but I also am hoping to get back to the AG posts I started out doing and still have my other things too. I hope you will visit my blog as well.

    1. I will definitely check your blog out! 😊

  6. I think this is really true, and really sad. I am in advanced classes like you as well (and have sports going on as well) and I sadly haven’t been able to blog as much as I want to. I’m hoping it picks up this summer, though!

i agree wholeheartedly. for me, it’s school and a lack of creation. hope isn’t into dolls anymore, i don’t think loren is either. kaylyn does more youtube videos and madi from dwod took a health break. i also agree with loren; once doll diaries shut down, it was the beginning of the end.

*before you read this realize that this is a big rant but yeah*I agree too. it seems like many doll bloggers just left, some of them just randomly stopped liking dolls and stuff. like madi left for a good reason, but I don’t understand when people say stuff like “I don’t like dolls anymore I’m too old and yeah I have school.” I mean, everyone has school, but that doesn’t mean that they SHOULD STOP BLOGGING because of school! they can still blog every once in a while. plus, doll bloggers always seem to say stuff like (before say it I want to say that I completely agree with it) “You’re never too old for toys/dolls!” I understand if you’ve worn out of dolls, but bloggers need to tell people that and maybe pass the blog on or something. Kind of like what sam did with her award show, she passed it down to another doll blog. I just wish doll lovers our age would at least TRY to blog. Anyways, sorry for the huge rant which might end up in spam but yeah… I just wish that the doll blogging community was more active. ❤

  8. Yes! I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one who felt like this. The doll blogging world was just exploding with posts, and then people left, or drifted away. And I totally agree with Loren, DD was the first doll blog I was around to see leave, and wowwww, it was hard. This post was amazing, Emma! I took your survey. 😉

I totally agree! It seems like this year and the middle of last year no one was posting about dolls anymore. I’m taking a break right now because my grandma just died and there are a lot of problem with my grandpa right now because he’s losing his memory. It’s stressful. But I do hope to be back in a week!
